Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.

I hope you are enjoying your time at home. During this time, I would like you to keep practicing math on Prodigy (https://play.prodigygame.com/). You can use this program on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. If you have forgotten your username or password, let me know and I will send it to you. Also, email me with any questions you may have.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to visit the Home Learning page that Prince William County has provided, please do so. It has some optional schedules for students as well as links/suggestions for academics.

This week, please go to Study Island and complete the pretest.  It is 30 questions.  This will allow me to better prepare review material for you.  You can access Study Island through Clever.  Please see the video under Files and Documents if you do not know how to access Clever.

Also DreamBox is offering a free 90 day trial to enable you to continue practicing and learning material at home when you sign up by April 30th.  While I personally do not have any experience with DreamBox, I have a friend who is a math coach and loves it.  She uses it with her own child as well as her students.

Finally, please play Prodigy.  I am working on assigning content for the next few weeks.  Everything assigned in Prodigy will be from units we have already covered.
