TJ Spring Session for Rising 8th Graders
Rippon Middle School will be hosting an information session for rising 8th grade students interested in Thomas Jefferson High School.  We will have a representative from Thomas Jefferson here to explain the details and timeline of the admissions process.  The information session will take place on Wednesday, May 21st at 6 p.m.
Congratulations Step Team
In case many of you did not know, our Step Team has had a most successful year with competition.  During spring break they took first place in the Extreme Praise Step Show held in Woodbridge.  They competed in King George and took second place.  In this competition, they competed against high school and community teams.  Finally, they competed at Garfield High School and came in 3rd. 
 
The Step Team, under Mr. Edwards tutelage, have  competed six times this year.  They have taken home 2 first place trophies, 2 second place trophies and 2 third place trophies.
 
Congratulations to all for a job well done!!

Eighth Grade Civic Teachers to Hold Help Sessions!

Eighth Grade Civics teachers will be offering assistance during the times below:
        Mr. Edwards-after school Monday-Friday
        Mr. Seyler-Tuesday's during lunch
        Dr. Jackson-Thursday's during lunch
        Dr. Horner-before school from 7:15-focused on the standards. Monday-CE Standard 2, Tuesday-CE 3,   Wednesday-CE4, Thursday-CE5, Friday CE6. Each week the rotation will review the standards we have met. There are 14 standards that will be rotated in as we get to them.

New Virginia Homework Help Program!
Homework Help is a Virginia sponsored program that provides after school tutoring from state certified teachers. Students in grades 3-12 can find help in Reading, Writing and Arithmetic from a subject specialist using an online whiteboard.
